Google's new algorithm "Google Mobile Friendly Update" is to boost the ranking factor of a mobile friendly search pages in Google search. This update is only for mobile searchers. Google mobile friendly update is launching today. i.e 21st of April, 2015.
This update will impact mobile searchers only and not the desktop searchers as it is specially organized for smaprtphone devices. Check your site using the mobile friendly testing tool to know whether your site is mobile friendly or not. Even if this algorithm updates today, Google will take some time to update their index to know whether your webpages are mobile friendly or not.
Mobile friendly algorithm is based on page by page, so even if some of your web pages are not mobile friendly, you need not to worry as it will still show in mobile search results. After this roll out, it will take few more weeks to impact on the search results.
You do not have to worry even if your site is not an mobile friendly. As Google has given their assurance that the high quality content with relevance will rank well even if it is not a mobile friendly. This algorithm is an organic listings so it wont affect the Adwords also.
